Tapestries – The Narrative of our Times?

The Holburne Museum in Bath is holding a one-day symposium on 29th September entitled, Tapestries – the Narrative of our Times?. This symposium will explore the relevance of tapestry as a means of conveying the narrative of our times, to accompany our temporary exhibition, Tapestry: Here & Now, featuring four exciting lectures by the following international speakers and exhibiting artists:


Yasuko Fujino, Japan: ‘Each Story- Tapestries in Japan’

Barbara Heller, Canada: ‘Tapestry and Politics’

Valerie Kirk, Australia: ‘Past, in the Present and the Future’

Pat Taylor, UK: ‘Crafting Stories’
