Launch of the Dressing the Early Modern Network, Berlin,
27th March 2015
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are delighted to announce the ‘Dressing the Early Modern Network’. This network aims to bring together PhD students and early career reseachers working on any aspect of dress in the early modern period.
As many of us are undertaking our research within various university departments including History, Art History, English and Literature, to name a few, seminars and conferences that are directly related to our field of research are rare and there are no opportunities for us to get constructive feedback from other PhD students and researchers in the same field of interest.
Through this network, we invite you to communicate with other scholars interested in early modern dress in an informal setting. This is a place for us to meet people, discuss ideas, put together projects, ask questions and present our research.
Our website will also serve to promote any upcoming conferences, sessions and seminars on early modern dress. We would be grateful if you could please inform us of any relevant events which can be posted on our website: http://www.
You are also warmly invited to participate in the first Dressing the Early Modern Network meeting of 2015, which is being held to coincide with the annual Renaissance Society of America Conference in Berlin:
Date: Friday, 27 March 2015
Time: 7:00pm drinks
Location: ALTES EUROPA (Gipsstraße 11), Berlin, Germany
Please RSVP to info@dressingtheearlymodern.
